Already distributing?
One subscription instead of two.
Most artists pay for a distributor and a separate store, and the store takes a cut of every sale. EngineEars does both for one price.
Based on published pricing, October 2026; prices change, so check each provider. Bandcamp and EVEN don’t distribute to streaming, so they’re paired with a distributor. On EngineEars, fans pay card processing at checkout.
Switching from another distributor?
Bring your catalog.Keep your streams.
Move your releases with their original ISRCs and UPCs, and your stream counts and playlist placements stay with every song. No extra cost, it’s all part of one membership.
1
Add it as a migration
Choose “Migrate existing release” and use the same audio, artwork, release date, ISRCs and UPC as your live release.
2
We deliver it in 2–3 days
It links to your existing release on Spotify, Apple Music and more, so your history carries over. You’ll briefly see it listed twice while you check.
3
Then remove the old one
Once everything matches, request a takedown at your old distributor. Your music stays live the whole way through.
How is EngineEars different from DistroKid or Too Lost?+
Most artists pair a distributor with a separate store to sell direct, like DistroKid with Bandcamp or Too Lost with EVEN, and that store keeps 15–20% of each sale. EngineEars Artist Platinum includes distribution to 350+ platforms and your own fan store for $60 a year, with a 0% store fee and no per-release add-ons. Based on published pricing, October 2026.
Can I move my music from another distributor without losing streams?+
Yes. Add each release on EngineEars as a migration, using the same audio files, artwork, original release date, ISRCs and UPC as your live release. Spotify, Apple Music and other platforms then link it to the existing release, so stream counts and playlist placements stay with each song. Once it’s live and matches, request a takedown at your old distributor; your music stays up the whole time. Migration has no extra cost on Artist Platinum, and full catalogs can be moved in bulk on an Enterprise plan.
Do you take a cut of my royalties?+
No. You keep 100% of your streaming revenue. EngineEars makes money from memberships and small booking fees, not from your royalties.
Do I keep my masters?+
Always. EngineEars is not a label. You own your masters and your rights.
How do I get my music on Spotify?+
Spotify doesn’t take uploads from artists directly. You release through a distributor: upload your audio and artwork to EngineEars, choose your release date, and we deliver it to Spotify along with every other platform.
What’s the cheapest music distribution for independent artists?+
Free plans usually take a percentage of your royalties or charge per release, so they cost more as you grow. EngineEars Artist Platinum is $60 a year for unlimited releases, and you keep 100% of your streaming revenue.
Is music distribution free?+
Some distributors offer a free plan in exchange for a cut of your earnings. On EngineEars, distribution comes with Artist Platinum ($60 a year). Opening a storefront and selling direct to fans is free.
How many streams does it take to make $1,000?+
At EngineEars’ average Spotify US payout of about $0.0039 per stream, $1,000 takes roughly 256,000 streams. The real number depends on where your listeners are and which platforms they use. Selling direct to fans gets you there much faster: 100 fans buying a $10 album is $1,000.
Who are the top music distributors?+
The best-known distributors for independent artists include DistroKid, TuneCore, CD Baby, Amuse, Ditto and UnitedMasters. EngineEars delivers to the same 350+ platforms and adds a direct-to-fan storefront, studio and engineer booking, and publishing collection to the same account.
